Vector Break strategy: paddle angles, wide mode and brick walls
Learn how paddle contact changes the bounce, when wide mode activates and how to preserve your three balls.

Launch starts the ball moving; the paddle does not launch automatically after a loss. Use left and right, drag across the board, or use the touch controls. Follow the ball’s downward route and get the paddle beneath it early. Chasing its current horizontal position too late is harder to recover from.
Choose the contact point
The ball’s contact point on the paddle changes its outgoing angle. Centered contact sends it more vertically. Edge contact sends it sideways into a wider path. Use a deliberate edge hit when you want to reach remaining bricks across the wall, while keeping the next return manageable.
Watch for reinforced bricks
Some bricks take two hits. A first hit still earns points, but the brick remains in play. Consecutive brick hits build the scoring streak until the paddle catches the ball again. Clearing every brick awards a 1,000-point bonus and starts another wall.
Use the temporary wide paddle
Every twelve broken bricks activate a wider paddle for a short period. Use that extra margin to recover a difficult return. The paddle becomes narrow again when the effect ends, so avoid treating the wider edge as a permanent safe zone.
Keep a ball for the rest of the round
You have three balls and up to ninety seconds. A ball below the board costs a life. After a loss, re-center and launch when you are ready. Ranked scores are replayed by the server; practice bests remain in your browser. Share a completed result to give someone the same day’s starting board and a score to beat.
