NEON MAZE

THE OBJECTIVE

Guide a glowing orb through a dark neon maze and eat every pellet while four hunters close in, each with its own way of cutting you off. Grab a power orb to turn them blue and eat them for big points. Every level is a new maze from the daily seed, and every fifth level the Hunter Flood brings two more hunters and gates that open and shut.

HOW TO SCORE

• Steer the orb with the arrows, WASD, a swipe or the direction pad. Turns are remembered, so press the next turn early and the orb takes it at the next opening; you can reverse at any time.
• Eat every pellet to clear the maze. Pellets eaten close together build a chain, and every ten in a chain raise the multiplier (up to ×8). Staying alive pays a little more every five seconds.
• Four hunters chase you, each its own way: Blaze heads straight for you, Vex aims four tiles ahead, Flux flanks from the far side of Blaze and Ember gives up when it gets close. Now and then they all fall back to their corners. A power orb turns them blue for a few seconds: eat them for 200, 400, 800 and 1,600.
• A hunter that touches you costs a life; three to start. Each level is a new maze from the daily seed, faster than the last. Every fifth level is the Hunter Flood: six hunters, and red gates in the walls open and shut every eight seconds. Clear it for a big bonus and a life back.

Arrows or WASD steer

Swipe on the maze or use the direction pad.

Controller: D-pad / left stick steers. Start / Options pauses or resumes. Release held controls after pausing.

Use a controller with a standard browser mapping. Press and release a button to connect; A / × or Start plays. Keyboard and mouse remain available.

P / Escape pauses the game. Switching tabs or windows pauses automatically. Rounds start, and resume, after a 3-2-1 countdown.

The daily starting seed resets at 00:00 UTC. Pausing stops the game; End & save on the pause screen banks an endless run. Ranked rounds must finish saving within 2 hours of starting.
